The Applications Demo adds a JRuby Script Portlet example using the new Portals Bridges Script Bridge 2.0.

16 April 2010 - Apache Portals Applications 1.1

The Apache Portals team is pleased to announce the General Availability of Portals Applications 1.1. The Web Content application has added reverse proxy support for web content and iframe portlets, including auto-sizing for iframes from same domain as server. This 1.1 version upgrades the following portlet applications with bug fixes, new features, and improvements:

  • Gems - A collection of reusable portlets including Flash, Google Maps, File, Event and Browser portlets.
  • Database Browser - A portlet application dedicated to the development and database portlet development including scrollable lists and data entry forms
  • Demo - A portlet application dedicated to learning Java and Groovy portlet programming and tutorials, as well as some helpful weather and bookmark portlets
  • RSS - A portlet application dedicated to the development of RSS portlet features
  • Web Content - A portlet application dedicated to the development of Web Content rewriting and IFrame based web content.
